Harrah's Entertainment, Inc announced that the dates for the two 2008 World Series of Poker presented by Milwaukee's Best Light events have changed.
First, the $50,000 buy-in World Championship HORSE event initially programmed for June 22 is now scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 25.
The $2,500 buy-in 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball event initially programmed for June 25 is now scheduled to start on June 22 sometime around noon.
The changes in the program occurred so that the ESPN television channel will be able to televise the entire HORSE World Championship.
The 39th edition of the World Series of Poker will start on May 30, 2008 and end on July 16, 2008 and ESPN will start airing the event with month of July. In the 2008 WSOP event poker players will compete for 55 bracelets and open events buy-ins will vary from $1,000 to $50,000. The full event schedule is at WorldSeriesOfPoker.com
