Online Poker Tour gives away bigger prizes
By Alex Brooke, Feb 5th 2007The Online Poker Tour has big plans for 2007. For starters they are negotiating with their sponsors to give away four trips to the Playboy Mansion and five trips to the Ultimate Poker Challenge as prizes for the New Year Bash. During January and February you can participate in daily qualifier tournaments for free or for $1.10.
In 2006 eight players won trips to the Playboy Mansion. Two other players won trips to a celebrity poker tournament where they played against Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Ried, Don Cheadle, or Lakers owner Jerry Buss In attendance for the tournament you could find Pro poker stars like Daniel Negreanu, Hoyt Corkins, Ted Forrest or Gavin Smith.
Partying for a Purpose charity event will have an Online Poker Tour sponsored VIP table as well. The six table winner also wisited Hugh Hefner?s Mansion. A trip like this includes airfare, hotel, a VIP Pre-Party, VIP plane to and from the Mansion, drinks, food and VIP seating. Not bad.
Rounder's Radio a new radio station dedicated to poker will be broadcasting the final tournaments for the trips. The program includes five shows a week dedicated to discussing poker. Between the live transmissions you will be able to listen to music mix as well.
Some of the already announced sponsors are: Vegas Poker 247, Royal Card Club, Third Bullet and CD Poker. This month will be a very exiting one for the poker world especially because they didn?t give much information about their events.
