Allen Cunningham was recently voted one of the best poker players under the age of 35, so if you haven't heard of him before, you will probably do now. He started playing poker in casinos at the age of 18, and he even dropped college to pursue his dream of becoming a professional poker player. He is one of the best seven-card stud players and he is a champion in that domain.
He won "Best All-Around Player" at the Bicycle Casino's Legend of Poker in southern California when he was only 22, that being his first victory in a major tournament. Since then he has played in several other tournaments and has managed to have success:
- In the $3,000 No Limit Hold'em Tournament in the 2005 Five Diamond World Poker Classic - first place.
- In the $3,000 No Limit Hold'em Tournament in the 2005 Ultimate Poker Challenge - first place.
- In the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Tournament at the 2005 WSOP - first place.
