Erik Seidel became very famous after he played in a movie, but his current profession was of a poker player. Erik started playing backgammon but that game didn't suit him so he became a broker. He returned to the gambling business with poker, a game that he liked more than backgammon.
He says he went to Vegas to play backgammon and decided to give poker a try and for his surprise he won even if he was bad at it. Things have changed as Erik is one of the best poker players. He has 6 WSOP bracelets and he is on both WSOP and the Bellagio top 10 all time money lists, being the only player to do so.
His loss at the final WSOP table was used in the movie "Rounders" and that is what made him so famous. He remembers about it and he jokes about the bad way he played the game. What makes him adored by the fans and respected by the players is his modesty. All those winnings haven't changed him a bit. Erik says that his patience is one of the main reasons for his success.
