John D'Agostino is a young player that makes the veterans do what they hate the most: lose. He has knocked out of tournaments with many skilled players, players way older than him, and most of the times John managed to make it to the final table.
John started playing the game in Connecticut, his home town, and he was a specialist in Hold'em. When he was 21 he entered in his first tournament and at the 2004 Poker Championship at Turning Stone he finished 2nd, which drew the attention and the respect of his opponents.
Then at the 2004 United States Poker Championship he was very successful, he was the chip leader for a long period of time, but fate was against him. Hoyt Corkins won with four of a kind of 7's and John was holding a pair of ten. Eventually he finished in the 6th place.
Since then John has make it to the final table in almost every tournament he enters and at the 2006 Jack Binion WSOP Tournament Circuit - Grand Tunica and the 2006 Borgata Winter Poker Open he managed to finish on the 2nd place.
He has a bright future, and he may become one of the best poker players.
