Layne Flack is just in his twenties, but he already has 5 WSOP bracelets, something even TJ Cloutier and Amarillo Slim, couldn't managed to do, having only 4 bracelets each. Flack is just a straight poker player, that's what he does; he does not like to appear in front of the camera to often.
Layne used to play the game since he was a child, when he played it with his grandparents. He was dealer at a casino for a period of time, then he was a night manager, but he spent most of the time playing the game so he quit. He then became friend with Johnny Chan and Huck Seed, both good poker players he improved his game.
Layne is a very good poker player, can adjust to any situation and he knows what odds he has every time. He doesn't play the game at his best every time, making his winnings alternate, sometimes he wins, sometimes he doesn't. When he can concentrate at full potential he is unstoppable. He is a true hustler and knows how to play his best even when the conditions are harsh.
Gambles too much. That's what the critics said about his playing style, that he takes too many risks. Currently he has 5 WSOP bracelets plus a WPT championship, and they have nothing. In fact is a joy to watch his games because of his aggressive playing style.
