He wears a $1000 worth suit and a $5 hat; yes that's Marcel Luske all right. Luske is entertaining and that is like one of his trademarks, besides his poker skills of course. He was once called the European Scotty Nguyen.
Song at the Poker Table
Luske has been voted Europe's poker player of the year without receiving a single vote from Holland, living testimony of his fame. He is known for the way he acts at the table: he plays a very aggressive game, but his personality is opposite, he jokes and sings when he feels good. He tries not to offend or disrespect his opponents as long as they do the same.
Of course singing is not his only quality at the table; he is a very good observer of the game, as well as of his opponents, he knows how to manage his money and he knows when to attack, thus taking his opponents by surprise.
"Your Kings Are Good"
This words were said my Luske at the 2004 WSOP. He folded before the flop and he said to his opponents: "Your kings are good". The opponent was surprised and tried to hide the fact about his cards, by saying he had an Ace King combo. Luske calmly responded that he had two kings. And his opponent really had two kings.
His Own Coach
Luske says he likes to play the game in order to learn various things about it, and says that a game will prepare you better than any other poker books, because a book can bring you the atmosphere and the twist and situations that may occur at the table, and also with all those different types of players.
