Poker Pros - Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi is a poker player that doesn't belong in the old poker player's pattern: middle aged, with a face that reveals the story of his life. In fact Michael was born in the middle eighties and he spent a good time making different things than playing poker.

He wanted to become a doctor, a dream which he abandoned when his brother Robert Mizrachi, a professional player introduced him to the game of Hold'em. Two of his brothers (Robert and Eric) are professional poker player so it is somewhat normally Michael's decision. He has another brother but that one chose to be a magician.

Michael played the game online for a very long time. He says that prepared him for the land games because there he encountered many players with different playing style so he had to adapt to each player's situation. He was a very feared and respected online player.

Michael is not 30 yet but he has managed in 2005 seven money finishes at the WSOP, something each poker player dreams of. He also has won the World Poker Tournament twice and the L.A Poker Classic once. From these tournaments he has managed to make over $1 million. He is a player worth watching.
