Minneapolis Jim Meehan is famous for his catchphrase "We're all God's children", that he often says at the table, but also for the hat he wears and by the fact that he always has a shot of whiskey in hand.
Jim has a very confusing playing style, when he has nothing he bets, when he has a very good hand he plays like he has nothing. That's Jim's style and so far it has been very successful. As his nickname says it Jim is from Minneapolis but he currently resides in Vegas. He played the game for more than 40 years, starting to play the game when he was in grade school.
At the 2003 WSOP he won the first place, beating more than 400 players. During that competition he managed to recover from situations that seemed impossible and only he knows how he did it. That first place brought him more than $280,000.
In 1997 he participated for the first time at a WSOP and in the same year at the $3,000 Limit Hold'em event he won $115,000 by finishing on the second place.
At the 2005 WSOP he played finished on the sixth place and won $480,000 even if he drank during the entire competition.
