Steven Dannenmann is a Mortgage Banker and a Certified Professional Accountant. Those jobs suit him and help especially since he won $4.5 million and also the 2005 WSOP second place. You can see he has a lot of money to count. He managed to win them at his first entry in a tournament.
Steven knows to play cards and he shows this, but he has some strange habits like never riding in a cab that doesn't end with the number 8, or not letting his wife to watch him play. When all that money is involved no wonder he doesn't let her watch. He managed to become a very effective gambler even if he has two jobs opposite to the gambling industry, and he likes to play in high stakes games.
He played in the WSOP for the first time when he was 38 and he managed to finish second, which is a remarkable thing. He went there with the thought of having fun and enjoying himself. After the game was over he said to the reporters that he was bored with the game and that he wants to go fishing.
One thing his opponents could do to break his concentration, but maybe not even that would work is bring his wife to the casino to watch him play, and paint all the cabs with numbers ending anything but 8.
