Poker Skills Inherited from Parents

Todd Brunson

Todd Brunson is the second generation of a successful poker player. He gained success as soon as he entered in the professional tournaments, proving that poker skills can also be inherited from the parents, not just the physical or psychical attributes.

He participated in his first World Series of Poker Championship in 1992, at the Hold'em competition where he finished on the 13th place. Since then he participated in many major tournaments and has won ten of them. On June 21st, 2005 he won his first bracelet, something he always dreamed of.

It was at the Omaha Hi-Lo Event in Las Vegas where he won the bracelet, winning dramatically against Allen Kessler, coming from behind. Tom and his father are the only father and son couple in poker history to win a WSOP bracelet. The WSOP bracelet gave him to chance to make a name for himself, not to stand in his father's shadow.
